© Claudia's Cookbook - Farmers Cookies 13 First off – welcome to my newly redesigned website! I hope you like it. On a whim, I spent the better part of yesterday night playing with different designs and incorporating my content into it. I wanted a more visual layout. I hope I have succeeded! To celebrate, let’s eat some cookies!  (more…)

7 Layers in Heaven Bar

© Claudia's Cookbook - 7 Layers in Heaven Bar 13It’s been a while since Claudia and I actually sat down to bake together, which is fairly contradictory to my actual goal of this blog. Therefore, we made it our mission to set some time aside and get our bake on this past weekend. We also had Christmas movies on in the background. (more…)

Pineapple Slice

I love fruit desserts. Apple, strawberry, raspberry – you name it.

But pineapple? I was a little skeptical.

As you can tell, this recipe is old. It apparently was my Grandmother’s. The image above reaffirms why I needed to create this blog, as this is Claudia’s recipe. Handwritten, worn and slightly yellow. Splash some water on this puppy and it’s a goner.

Fun fact: to this day I’m still not a fan of Bounty chocolate bars either! However as I got older and my palate became more sophisticated, I learned to love these Nanaimo Bars in all their glory. To this day, Claudia only makes these beauties for Christmas. I think that is part of the appeal. Sweet, creamy and chocolatey rich, they are definitely a once a year treat that everyone should enjoy.
