Absolutely beautiful! I am so glad you posted these photos. Love the bowls & plates, that’s on my list for next year! I have several serving pieces but I need bowls and plates. All my serving pieces are from Ceramic Cottage in Vegreville (more nice Canadians like you!). My prized possession is my borscht pot.

Hi Faye – sorry for the delayed response. Claudia bought her Ukrainian dishes about 20+ years ago from a very small Ukrainian business in the basement of Progress-Vera Credit Union on Main Street and Stella Avenue here in Winnipeg. The business is no longer open unfortunately.

Hi ! I’m interested in buying those dishes for a family member and I’m wondering what this patter is called ? So if I call this store in Alberta I’ll know what to ask for. Any information you could give me would be much appreciated thank you !

Merry Christmas 2014! Made your nalysnyky recipe to take over to my parent’s along with some kubasa. Mom took care of the cabbage rolls, perohi, etc.. Thank-you for taking the time to share your recipes 🙂

Do you have a poppyseed filling for the Pampushky? My granny only made that kind. Thanks and Merry Christmas

Hi Karen! Here is the recipe we have:
      2 cups poppy seeds
      1 egg white
      1/2 cup sugar
      4 tbsp honey
      1 tsp cinnamon
Boil poppy seeds for 1/2 hour. Drain. Let stand for 1 hour then put them through the finest blade of a food processor. Add egg white, sugaar, honey and cinnamon. Mix well. Spoon onto dough and roll as per the Pampushky recipe.
